We donate 10% of our profits to animal-saving charities because it’s our small but impactful contribution to promoting ethical business practices. In other words, it’s our way of encouraging other businesses to donate to charitable causes and sustainable practices for global impact. Imagine the power if every business, large or small, donated 10% to good causes.

We do. In addition to the 10% of profits, we apply other conservation practices throughout our manufacturing process like using 100% plastic-free packaging made from FSC-certified cardboard. We also use non-toxic dyes and inks on our packaging. Our animal socks are made using bamboo that’s specifically grown for sale. It’s one of the fastest growing plants in the world that need no fertiliser. 

So far, we’ve helped saved 270 turtle hatchlings🐢, funded the planting of 3 rugby pitches worth of wild flowers 🐝🌷and the protection of 740 acres of tropical rainforest for Toucans, Lemurs, Sloths, Frogs & more! 🦥🐸🐒 We’ve also helped rescue and rehome domestic animals that were enduring unfavourable living conditions prior to intervention. We’re excited to announce that we’ve been able to increase our percentage of bamboo fibres to 92% in each sock. This is a massive amount that helps make the bamboo socks much softer and more durable.

We have spent years searching for the right materials for our socks and although the process of turning bamboo into fibres uses chemicals, we only use fibres from a factory that deploys a closed-loop system to reduce chemical waste. This means that they recycle the chemicals and reuse them elsewhere within the factory.

We use bamboo because it is an incredibly sustainable natural resource. It grows rapidly and doesn’t need any harmful pesticides, fertilizers or excessive water to grow optimally. This makes it anincredibly efficient plant. What’s more, all our bamboo is sourced from commercially grown bamboo forest and not from the wild.

Yes, all the bamboo we use on our socks is sourced ethically and sustainably. This is proven by the fact that we are verified by B-Corp, Sedex, Okeo-Tex and/or BSCI in every part of the supply chain. More importantly, we don’t use any bamboo that’s growing in natural forests where pandas live.

Farm animals are not endangered, however, some of them unfortunately suffer due to unfavourable living conditions. We’ve joined forces with our charity partners to rescue these animals, rehabilitating them and rehoming them to loving homes where they can thrive for the rest of their lives.

We make our bamboo socks as durable as possible and use great materials from reputable sources. Our animal socks are manufactured in a socially responsible way, which is why we use OEKO-TEX and SEDEX Certified suppliers and materials. Since fashion is a global supply chain, there is no getting around shipping. It's our belief that people won't stop purchasing clothes any time soon, so where we can, we want the clothes people do buy to be the best they can be.
